I am the holder of a CAA(UK) Group A Private Pilots Licence but have not flown solo for about five years. Is it possible for me to hire a P28 with a check pilot but still fly the aircraft myself.

If this was possible can I fly and bring along an additional passenger to fly with us, if so how much per hour would this cost?

Is the flying hour counted from start-up to shut-down or from take-off to touch-down?

Hi,

I've just started taking flight lessons. To supplement flying time (which in my case comes once a week and generally is pretty expensive) I would like to use simulation software like MS Flight Simulator or Flight Unlimited (??). What's your opinion? Would this be a useful addition to my training? If so, how can I make it more realistic - where can I get the yoke and the pedals, for example?

I have been doing some research on converting American FAA license to CAA/JAA. Im not sure who to talk to about this. I am a 23 year old male living in Daytona Beach florida USA. I currently have a commercial ,instrument ,multi license, with about 800 hours total flight time 100 hours of multi engine time. I also have FAA flight instructor certificates for commercial, multi enging, and instrument. Currently I am flight instructing In Florida, and in a couple of months my total time will be over 1000 hours. I have talked to several students from the Europe and they have been telling me about some of the airlines in Europe Uk that hire pilots with as little as 250 hours total time. I am a U.S. based pilot, with FAA Commercial with Instrument for Single Engine Land. I just passed the equivalent of a BFR with IPC during the first week of September.

Most of my flying is done with a volunteer organization called the Civil Air Patrol where I am a qualified Search and Rescue pilot. I am current in both PA28 and C172/C182. Being almost 2 meters tall, I do not fit in a C150.

I flew on American on Sept.8th thru Sept 15. During thid time nobody on the plane asked if we would like to join the milege plan. I was delayed in fla. because of the terrorism in N.Y.I was finally abel to get out of fl. on Sept.i6th2001. The security was deplorable in Fla. and also in dDallas where I had to make my change in planes. In Dallas they took me by wheelchail to the site i was board and sat me by the place where I would board. I had a layover and wanted to get a cup of coffee so I wheeled myself to he coffee shop. No one stopped to ask why I was in a wheelchair wheeling myself around. I even went to the gift shop. Is this what yu call SECURITY. Great site. My questions is in regards to my upcoming medical exam. I have

decided to go ahead and get my medical done before my first solo only

because I do not want to spend a lot of money if I do not pass. My eye site

in my left I is better than 20/20, but my right eye has had problems since

birth. I have lazy eye and my eyesite has maitained about 20/60 vision. My

question is will the Medical Examiner issue me a medical certificate with a

restriction or will I be disqualified? I would much rather have a

restriction than have someone tell me there is no hope for someone with you

eyesite in one eye. I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you in advance for
